It’s always exciting to find labeled AIREST furniture, so if you research MCM furniture, this is a 'win'! This mid-century coffee table is a beautifully crafted example of their New Zealand production. This table features softly rounded edges and tapered bullet legs, complemented by a woven rattan magazine shelf beneath. The fine craftsmanship, materials, and proportions all reflect the elegance of mid-century modern design. During the 1960s, Airest secured licenses from the Australian company 'Parker' Furniture to produce their designs in NZ.
The lower rattan shelf offers practical storage without adding bulk, while the minimalist silhouette allows it to suit both vintage and contemporary interiors.
A striking and functional MCM piece—ideal as a central coffee table or as a refined lounge accent.
