A.J. Nelson Papers A.J. Nelson was a Justice of the Peace, Boulder City and lived at 607 Avenue D. The collection’s first page says: “This is a copy of black list published by A. J. Nelson, Justice of the Peace, Boulder City and candidate for re-election. Is your name on this list? If so, do you believe that the claim against you will be fairly tried, inasmuch as the Justice of the Peace is the collector and receives a percentage of the amount he collects as a commission.” This list is “delinquent accounts,” “accounts received,” and “small claims cases” from Boulder City and Las Vegas residents.
