Tom and Erma Godbey Collection
Tom [1899-1977] and Erma Godbey [1905-1993] came to the Boulder Canyon Project in 1931 and settled in Ragtown on the Colorado River. Tom Godbey was a charter member of Boulder City's Veterans of Foreign wars organization and the American Legion, and served four terms in the Nevada State Assembly. Erma was active in many of Boulder City's civic, fraternal, and political organizations, and oral histories conducted with her in the 1970s and 1980s are among the most vivid and detailed recorded memories of Hoover Dam and Boulder City construction. The items in this collection reflect Tom's and Erma's civic and political involvement.
