Scope and Content

Florence Lindsey Collection MS 39 Florence Lindsey Collection Florence Lindsey [1874 - 1960] was one of Boulder City's most colorful citizens. She first traveled through southern Nevada in 1929 with her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stuart, who settled in Boulder City to build Hoover Dam. When her sister died in 1944, Florence returned to live in Boulder City. She was active in Boulder City's little theatre group where her Irish brogue always made an impression, and was a member of Eastern Star, the Women's Club, and St. Christopher's Episcopal Church. The personal items in this collection were donated by Florence's friend, Noma Tilman. * * *
