William S. "Bill" Russell Collection
William Sidney (Bill) Russell was born in Spokane, Washington, March 7, 1903. He had been in the photographic profession since 1920 and entered the Bureau of Reclamation at Grand Coulee, July, 1939. He was transferred here in Boulder City as a photographer for the Boulder Canyon Project in 1941 and held that position to the time of his death.
An artist in his work, his Bureau of Reclamation pictures appeared in many national magazines. He was devoted to his family and one of his favorite pastimes was taking pictures of his grandchildren.Collection
