The typescript in this collection, "Boulder Dam Builders," is the first attempt to compile a comprehensive list of the men and women who came to southern Nevada to build Hoover Dam and Boulder City. Dr. Mary Belle Lontz, a Pennsylvania historian and genealogist, spent several months during the winter of 1995-96 collecting names from whatever local sources were available, including newspapers, church records, voter and tax lists, and personal reminiscences. Lontz only made 10 copies of this book, which were not meant for sale.
