Reva Allen Richard Papers
Reva Allen Richard is the daughter of Marion and Marie Allen, who came to Boulder City in 1931 to build Hoover Dam. Reva's father, Marion, published 13 books in his lifetime, including Hoover Dam & Boulder City [author published, 1983], in which he describes the years his family spent at the Boulder Canyon Project. Photos of Reva as a child in Boulder City appear on pp. 108 and 120. Included in MS 76 [acc. no. 000.82] are Reva's Boulder City Elementary School report cards from 1933-35, an invitation to the school's May Day celebration in 1935, and the transfer slip for Reva when the family left Boulder City for San Bernardino, California at the end of Hoover Dam's construction. Reva also donated the doll she played with as a child in Boulder City.
