The 1970s was a crucial period in the growth and development of Boulder City—it was during this time that large scale housing development took place on land purchased in the 1960s after the city was incorporated. Fear of too-rapid expansion led to the passage of Boulder City's controlled growth ordinance in 1979.
MS 81 is a collection of miscellaneous city documents left on the museum's doorstep. Of particular interest is the file of Building Department monthly reports/yearly comparisons for 1973-75, and Police Department monthly activity reports for 1974-75.
