For[Unrecovered] has very kindly broke the Seal of my Scrap of Nonsense/ which obliges me to Cover it- I can not bare to send you a Blank Sheet tho I/ fear nothing that I can fill it with will afford you any amusement- We have/ had a Wedding it is True but nothing extraordinary occurred- The Bride look’d/ very handsome and your Ca[p] was much admired- we laugh’d a little and/ eat Plumb Cake as I have before Observed- The Groom is a Good softly Soul/ and seems to love with all his might and mair, and if it Was not for a / Bad [wax stain] headache I dare say he would be mighty Clever- Uncle is e/ elated and Aunt much pleased- We dined yesterday at Cousin Galatians/ by formal invitation, the dear Old Soul my Cousin Peter is as comfortably/ disgusting as may be, and I assure you he shines [at] the foot of the Table with/ Sandy by his Elbow to Carve the Pig, Pies & even [Sillabubs] for/ him- but now let me talk of my own affairs- Is Our dearly/ beloved still with you?- and has the Cruel [Unrecovered] deighn’d to flirt/ with?- has she still no nack of Cooking [unrecovered] and taking in Old Ben/? - answer me I intreat- for I languish to hear- Write to me then and/ tell me of all their P[apers]- God Guard you- this is a Scandalous Letter/ I am ashamed of it but it suits the bitter habit of my Soul - and I have/ scarcely Good Nature enough to Subscribe my Self yours affectionately/
