[PAGE 1]
You judged right my Brother your Letter/ was indeed a welcome relief to my anxiety which since the/ departure of my Brother [unrecovered] has been very painful-/I have a thousand things to say to you, but we are now in all/ the hurry of moving which I must plead as an excuse for/ my short Letter and bad writing/
You cannot think how I was mortified/ as the painful delay you make in the visit you so long have/ flattered me with, but if it pleases you I must be content/ and wait with patience till your wishes become as warm as/ mine- for me you cannot come too soon and I intreat you/ bring my darling with you- for I can scarce control my/ anxieties to see her- you have promised me her likeness/ long it will be a source of great happiness to me/
You inquire how to have spent the winter/
[END OF PAGE 1]
[PAGE 2]
I have done my best to please you, I have attempted a very/ little of Astronomy the beginning of geography and history/ your love has, [inserted: been] my object of reward then doubt not my/ attempts- we had last week our examination I/ wish you had been to see what improvement I have/ made- Mr. Jarvis was here he will tell you all/ about it- The list of things I wanted I gave Brother/ [unrecovered] and all I find now wanting is a little- cash/ for I cannot ask Mr. [Vanuleck-]/
I shall long for May and count/ every day till the 20th I trust you will not put it/ any longer consider it will be 7 Months- how/ painfully long to be from ones parents so long / indeed you cannot tell how much I feel it-/ My Letter is waited for- [unrecovered] my Brother/ Bless you my Sister love both as you are loved/
