My Dear Papa
I received your letter last week inclosed / in one from George which I was very much surpris - / ed at receiving. /
I am very glad to hear that you intend to return in / home in two or three weeks I promise myself the / pleasure of seeing you very soon after your return. / I received a letter from Mama the week before last she / says Aunt Seton is busy in making preparations for / Charlotte’s wedding.
I have been in dread all this afternoon expecting Mr. / Gardet the dentist he did not come and I have still / to suffer the pain of having my tooth taken out./ As I am almost a stranger to Philadelphia I have / no news to tell you and therefore must finish / my letter so Adieu my dear Papa
And believe me your
Affectionate daughter
