I have been/ [ever] since Saturday late/ confined to my Room &/ part of the time to my/ Bed by a very severe cold/ & have not yet sufficiently/ recover’d to admit of my/ [END OF PAGE 1] [PAGE 2] going out today if the/ weather should be favora-/ble tomorrow I will make/ an effort to see you-/ but [hast] this should/ not be the case can you not promise me/ should it not interfere/ with more agreeable en-/gagements, to dine with/ us [in famille] on Satur-/day? if either or both/ of your daughters have/ accompanied you I shall/ be truly glad to see them/ & all, by whom your party/ is composed & [perhaps] / you may be able to persuade upon Miss Gratz/ to accompany you/ which would add much to my pleasure.
