Description
A photo of two young Afghan children looking through their educational gift packages made by a member of the Canadian civil-Military co-operation (CIMIC) team. Raising the education of the local population was a first step in the development strategy to empower Afghanistan and the province of Kandahar.
The donation of school furniture was an example of the support provided to the province's director of education. This was part of an ongoing effort to build up school supplies for the students and teachers in the province of Kandahar.
