Description

View of the Chester, one of the last boats to come to Toledo. Shows passengers and dock. The vessel was a double-decked sternwheeler, 109 feet long, 22 foot beam and a 4 foot hold with engines 70x48 inches. Ship simply nosed into shore, a gang plank was put down and passengers or freight loaded. Have negative. Have slide.
