Photographer Solicitation RPPC by WassonDescription
Real Photo Postcard of a family in a horse drawn carriage, dated 1908.
In the message section, a Stockbridge family receives the following note:
"Lansing, Oct 19-8. Dear Sir, Your photos go by todays mail. Hope they reach you OK. If you can use a dozen of these cards, send $1.00 this week to J.H. Wasson, Lansing, Mich, 610 E. Shiawassee St."
Joseph H. Wasson had just a brief stint as a photographer in Lansing around 1900-1910. Examples of his work are not common. Less common yet are handwritten postcards to clients soliciting business.
