Description

Embossed quart with slug plate for the Brozany and Son Dairy of Lansing. Brozany & Son Dairy, Lansing -- Andro/Andrew Brozany (1881-1959), a Hungarian immigrant, operated a dairy farm in the northwest corner of Lansing Township on N. Grand River Avenue (U.S. 16) across from the airport drive. Andrew ran a general farm starting around 1917-18 before undertaking a dairy operation throughout the 1930s and 1940s with son Paul Brozany (1919-1950). A southern portion of the Brozany farm was sold and the former Northwestern School built on the site around 1939-1940.
