Belonged to General Roswell Olcott, who was the son of Peter Olcott, the Lieutenant-Governor of Vermont. Roswell Olcott was appointed General in the Vermont Militia. According to an article written by Jack Little, Roswell and his wife, Lydia Sherman, moved onto his brother's lands in Brome County in 1805 after he failed to build a turnpike he had been hired to construct in Vermont. - - - - Ce chandelier appartenait au général Roswell Olcott, fils de Peter Olcott, lieutenant-gouverneur du Vermont.
