A chair with arms to which a large, round back is attached by hinges. The back can be lowered to rest on the arms, converting it to a table. This table belonged to the Bresee family. Christianna Bresee (1825-1925) gave it to her eldest son, Rev. Ernest M. Taylor (1848-1941). The table was presented to the Brome County Historical Society by A. Reginald Bresee Taylor, son of Rev. E.M. Taylor, in April 1953. The actual age of this table is unknown; family accounts claim that it had been passed through six generations of the Bresee family. Two similar tables are located in the "Wayside Inn" in South Sudbury, Massachusetts, and are believed to have been constructed around the year 1675. - - - - Cette table appartenait à la famille Bresee.
