Description

Printing blocks for an undocumented set of Country Prints letterhead or possibly shipping envelopes. Other similar letterhead was designed for two-color printing (black and red). This block set is for single-color printing, and doesn’t match the size of surviving letterhead. The wood body of each block bears in imprint from the printer/maker with an illegible printers’ symbol followed by 127P. The numeral 85 is written in wax pencil three times on the large block and twice on the small one. The wood is probably mahogany.
