William Henry Northcote Cantlie Born: 28 Jan 1876 at Montreal; Son of James Alexander Cantlie and his wife Eleanora Simpson Stephen. Gentleman Cadet William Henry Northcote Cantlie, from the Royal Military College, Kingston, Canada, to be Second Lieutenant. Dated 25 September 1896. (Per London Gazette 29 September 1896, pg. 5378). 2/Lt. Wm. H.N. Cantlie to be Lt. 25 Sep 1899:(LG 10 Oct 1899, pg. 5115). 2/Lt. Wm. H.N. Cantlie Brought to Notice of Sec’y of State for War: (LG 10 Sep, 1901, pg. 5932). Lt. Wm. H.N. Cantlie to be Captain 11 Apr 1902: (LG 22 Apr 1902, pg. 2690). Capt. Wm. H.N. Cantlie resigns his Commission 24 Mar 1903: (LG 24 Mar 1903, pg.1984). William H.N. Cantlie died of pneumonia at Golden, British Columbia, 9 Mar 1907. William H.N.
