Research Notes

Notes

Saint Christopher is the patron saint of all travellers and children and a martyr who was killed under the reign of Roman Emperor Decius, during the 3rd-century. Many soldiers would wear lucky charms, amulets or other trinkets believed to bring them luck and protect them from harm. For those fighting overseas, far from home, Saint-Christopher became a popular patron.
