Kevin Motton was deployed to Afghanistan as a Corporal. He was originally training in Valcartier, Quebec for the CIMIC mission but was swapped to the Provincial Reconstruction Team mission. He was part of the Security Platoon which was part of Task Force 310, Battle Group 1st Battalion - Royal 22nd Regiment.
