Description

Christmas card, from France in 1916. The card is made of cardstock and features an image of a soldier in uniform on the front. On either side of him "Christmas" "Greetings" Overtop, "France 1916". Underneath, "3rd Canadian Infantry Brigade". Flanking the four corners are the badges of the four battalions in the Third Canadian Infantry Brigade. Top left: 13th Bn. (Royal Highlanders of Canada). Top right: 16th Bn. (Canadian Scottish). Bottom left: 14th Bn. (Royal Montreal Regiment). Bottom right: 15th Bn (48th Highlanders of Canada). Inside the card there is a printed message; "Brigadier General G.S. Tuxford, C.M.G. and Staff Wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year." The back is empty.
