Scope and Content

One-sided paper with typed text on its centre. A signature in blue ink is located on the bottom right. It is a letter of congratulations from Lieutenant Colonel Robert P. Clark, Commanding Officer of the Royal Montreal Regiment to Major Charles Gavan "Chubby" Power who had formerly served with the 14th Bn. RMR. Here Lieutenant Colonel Clark is offering congratulations after reading an announcement about Major Power published in the January 1, 1917 issue of the London Gazette which announced that Power had been awarded the Military Cross.
