Description

A black and white photo of 17 Candidates and 2 instructors from the Canadian and British Armoured Corps attending a military occupation-specific pre-course for an officer training course at Royal Military College Sandhurst. There are 6 members of the 32nd Reconnaissance Regiment (RMR) attending this course. In the middle row are Thomas K. Scovil (5th) and Ted Dowler (7th). Other 32 Recce Regt. members attending this course are: J. A. Buist, J. H. Westover, R. Wheeldon, and H. K. Ross On their black berets the candidates are wearing a white patch behind their regimental cap badges to visually identify them as Officer Cadets. On the 4 edges of the photo mat there are signatures of other course candidates. At the very top, in blue ink is the emblem of the Royal Armoured Corps.
