A hand written letter from C. Hinchcliffe of The West Yorkshire Regiment writing from Depot Barracks, York, to Major J.E. Slessor of The Royal Montreal Regiment thanking him for providing news of the RMR and in return sharing news of the West Yorks. This letter was written about a month after the great stock market crash of 1929.
