These grave markers were temporary, and we can see that the men were buried recently by the mounds on the ground. The grave reads "IN MEMORY OF / PTE E. MUTTART, 222183, / 14TH CANADIAN BATTALION / ROYAL MONTREAL REGIMENT/ KILLED IN ACTION / 21-11-16/R.I.P.
