Description

A black and white photo of members of the Regiment lining up for Pay Parade. The Paymaster would pay you an advance on your pay earned; an amount would be banked, and an amount would be sent back home for your spouse or parent. The Paymaster and his sergeant would update your pay book, a document every soldier carried with them at all times. Privates Anderson (saluting), Almond, Doyle, Jowett, Larsen, and Edwards are anxiously awaiting their pay.
