Crerar, Commander of the 1st Canadian Army, inspecting members of "A" Company of his Headquarters Defence Battalion (R.M.R.) on the occasion of the presentation of new Colours to the Battalion on July 10, 1945, at Amersfoort, Holland. Escorting General Crerar on his left is Major Matthew A. Willis who commanded the Battalion. Behind General Crerar is the Battalion RSM G.H. Quinn, while behind Major Willis is Captain C.J. Emblem.
