A black and white photo of twelve men wearing battledress uniform, helmets & their fighting order; gas mask carrier on the chest, webbing belt and pouches at their waist, and a small pack on their back. The position consists of ten double rows of sandbags, in a square that is approx 12 feet square, and dug into the ground approximately 2 feet deep. The grass sod covering could provide some camouflage from aerial photos, and provide additional stability to the stacked bags. see photo 2016x.66.371
