A black and white photo of a platoon of men training on the use of gas masks outside of the Westmount Armoury. In addition to their respirators, they are wearing wedge caps, winter great coats and gloves suggesting the photo was taken in late autumn.
Although poison gas was not used in the European or Pacific theatres, Allied and Axis armies were always vigilant. They trained with and required soldiers to carry a respirator with them at all times.Photograph Details
