Private J.A.L. Noad enlisted with the 14th Battalion, Royal Montreal Regiment, in September 1914 and proceeded overseas with the 14th Bn. After being invalided back to Canada in 1915 he re-enlisted in 1916 with the 66th Battery, Canadian Field Artillery, with which he served overseas until the end of the War.
