Description

A group of nine men gathered in a circle. Some men are dressed in uniform and some men are in civilian clothes. Behind them, a number of white Bell tents. After the 1st Canadian Contingent assembled in Valcartier Camp, and before they embarked for Europe, families of the soldiers were invited to visit them in camp on two separate weekends, and special trains were run from Montreal to carry the visitors. These civilians are probably visiting family.
