Description

A portrait photo of RSM Thomas Cripps Lewis without a cap. He served as RSM from 1937 to 1939 and was shortly thereafter commissioned, quickly rising in rank to Lieutenant-Colonel. He was killed in action on October 17, 1944, while commanding the 7th Canadian Reconnaissance Regiment (17th Duke of York's Royal Canadian Hussars, R.C.A.C.). He was awarded the Croix de Guerre and was Mentioned in Dispatches for his gallant action.
