Name/Title
Canadian Infantry at RestEntry/Object ID
2018.09.16Description
A group of Canadian infantry soldiers at rest while on patrol. They are supported by a Leopard C2 Tank.
The Leopard is protected by a slat armour shield - a type of armour designed to protect vehicles against anti-tank rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs), by making them break up or detonate before impact on the vehicle.
The troops are wearing knee pads, ballistic vests, load-carrying harnesses, Bergen backpacks, ballistic glasses, helmets, their personal weapons and the needed water and rations. Someone in the group is carrying the radio. Soldiers would typically easily carry 45 kilograms of material on them at all times.Photograph Details
