Ancient Chinese Jade includes Expanatory Notes on Mr. T. C. Liu's Unique Collection of Examples of Chinese Art. The preface offers the information that Jade was extensively by members of the Imperial family and the nobility of the Chow dynasty (about 3000 years ago). Weapons were fashioned with jade. Jadeware was deposited in their graves. There is much text in Chinese caligraphy as well as much explanation in English.
