Description

Illumination from a source positioned above the patient’s head was reflected by the concave mirror with aperture into the patient’s eye through a condensing lens. The operator viewed the image of the fundus binocularly, by means of two totally reflecting prisms whose apexes were placed together. There was no means of varying the inter-pupillary separation of the eyepieces. Provision was made for holding the instrument with either hand.
