Hand drawn blue ink cachet in the shape of a Texas Rangers badge. Written around the rim in brown ink, "U.S.S. Texas / 20 years in Commission." Written inside the star in red ink, "12 March 1934". With her homeport of LOS ANGELES / HARBOR inserted between the killer bars. Addressed to “Mr. E.O. Tauer”, the cachet designer. Mail clerk applied the ship’s embossed seal on the cover. This cover was mailed from and addressed to Tauer, attributed to his personal collection.Context
