ثوب من منطقة جنوب الخليل، من قماش القطن والكتان الأسود الكالح إزاء التقليل من صبغة النيلة اثناء صبغ القماش، مُطرّز بقطبة الصليب الفلاحية. صُنعت قبة الثوب من قماش مختلف باللون الأسود وطُرّزت بأشكال هندسية ونباتية والمناجل، كما يظهر قماش برتقالي اللون على عنق القبة، أما الأكتاف والردهة الخلفية والأكمام المردنة فلا تحمل أي تطريز. لا يظهر أي تطريز على البدن الأمامي للثوب، بينما يظهر تطريز كثيف من الأشكال النباتية والهندسية، أما البنايق فطُرّزت بالمناجل وعرق ورق العنب.
A thobe (dress) from south Hebron. It is made of off-coloured black cotton and linen due to thinning the indigo dye in the process of dyeing. The thobe is embroidered with primarily red silk threads in a Fallahi (peasant) cross stitch. The chest panel is made of a different black fabric and embroidered with plant and geometric shapes along with manajil (sickles) motifs. The collar has a piece of orange cloth sewn into it. As for the shoulders, the back of the chest panel (the upper back neckline), and the mradan sleeves (long triangular sleeves,) they bear no tatreez (embroidery). The front panel of thobe also features no embroidery, whereas the back panel is heavily embroidered with plant and geometric shapes. The sides (al-Banayiq) are embroidered with manajil and grape leaves motifs.Made/Created
