ثوب من منطقة دير البلح، من قماش القطن الأسود، مُطرّز بخيوط حرير يغلب عليها اللون الأحمر بقطبة الصليب الفلاحية. قبة الثوب مُطرّزة بشكل كثيف بعروق متنوعة من الأشكال النباتية والهندسية، أما الأكتاف والردهة الخلفية فلا تحمل أي تطريز. وطُرّزت الأكمام بالأشكال النباتية، بينما طُرّزت إسورة الكم بالأشكال الهندسية باللون الأحمر. يظهر تطريز كثيف من عرقين متلاصقين مُطرّزين بالأشكال الهندسية على البدن الأمامي والخلفي للثوب، ويتوسطهم عروق بأشكال نباتية مثل قوار الورد وأشكال حيوانية كالعصافير، أما البنايق فمُطرّزة بعروق من الأشكال النباتية والهندسية.

A thobe (dress) from Deir al-Balah, Bir Saba’. It is made of black cotton and embroidered with primarily red silk threads with a Fallahi (peasant) cross stitch. The chest panel of the thobe is heavily embroidered with a variety of plant and geometric shapes. As for the shoulders and the back of the chest panel (the upper back neckline), they bear no embroidery. The sleeves have a tatreez (embroidery) of plant shapes, whereas the cuffs are embroidered with geometric shapes in red. The front and back panel have a tatreez of two paired stitch patterns of geometric shapes. Moreover, a tatreez of rose pots motifs and animal shapes like birds lay in between the two paired patterns. The sides (al-Banayiq) are embroidered with stitch patterns of plant and geometric shapes.Made/Created
