ثوب من منطقة سيناء وبئر السبع، من قماش القطن الأسود، مطرز بخيوط حرير يغلب عليها اللون الأحمر. قبة الثوب مُطرّزة بشكل كثيف باستخدام عرق خيمة الباشا، أما الأكتاف فطُرّزت بعرق المقص والريش والسرو ونجمة بيت لحم، كما طُرّزت النياشين بالأشكال الهندسية، بينما تحمل الردهة الخلفية تطريز من عرق القلادة والريش والسرو والأشكال الهندسية.
وطُرّزت الأكمام المردنة بعرق الريش والسرو والمراوح والأشكال الهندسية، ويوجد على اسورة الكم قطعة من قماش الحرير الهرمزي باللون البرتقالي والأصفر. يظهر تطريز كثيف من عرق الورد والريش والسرو والمراوح على البدن الأمامي والخلفي للثوب والبنايق. أما ذيل الثوب فطُرّز بقطبة الحشي السائد استخدامها في أثواب منطقة بئر السبع.
A thobe (dress) from Bir Saba’ and Sinai. It is made of black cotton and embroidered with primarily red silk threads. The chest panel of the thobe is heavily embroidered with Pasha’s tent motifs. As for the shoulders, they are embroidered with scissors, feather, cypress, and the star of Bethlehem motifs, whereas the Nayashin (medals) are embroidered with geometric shapes. Moreover, the back of the chest panel has a tatreez (embroidery) of pendant, feather, and cypress motifs along with geometric shapes. The sleeves are mradan (long triangular sleeves) and embroidered with feather, cypress, and fans motifs and geometric shapes. Additionally, the cuffs are made of orange and yellow silk (heremzi). The front and back panel of the thobe, as well as the sides (al-Banayiq), are heavily embroidered with rose, feather, cypress, and fans motifs. The tail of the thobe is embroidered using a Tihshaya (couching) filling stitch, the stitch type used in all thobes from the Bir Saba’ area.Made/Created
