ثوب من منطقة بيت دجن قضاء يافا، من قماش القطن والكتان البيج، مطرز بخيوط حرير يغلب عليها اللون الأحمر بقطبة الصليب الفلاحية. قبة الثوب مُطرّزة بأشكال نباتية وهندسية، أما الأكتاف والردهة الخلفية فلا تحمل أي تطريز. وطُرّزت الأكمام بعدة عروق منها الريش، أما إسورة الكم فطُرّزت بالأشكال الهندسية. يظهر تطريز متوسط الكثافة من عرقين متوازيين مُطرّزين بالأشكال النباتية المتباينة ما بين البدن الأمامي والخلفي للثوب، ويظهر تطريز من عرق الجبال والسرو أسفل البدن الخلفي للثوب، أما البنايق فطُرّزت بعرق على كل جانب مُطرّز بعرق الريش والسرو والجبال
A thobe (dress) from the area of Beit Dajan, Yaffa. It is made of beige linen and cotton and embroidered with primarily maroon silk threads with a Fallahi (peasant) cross stitch. The chest panel of the thobe is embroidered with plant and geometric shapes. As for the shoulders and the back of the chest panel (the upper back neckline), they bear no tatreez (embroidery). The sleeves are embroidered with various motifs including feather, whereas the cuffs are embroidered with geometric shapes. The front and back panels of the thobe have mid-density tatreez (embroidery) of two parallel stitch patterns of various plant shapes. Moreover, the bottom of the back panel is embroidered with mountain and cypress motifs. The sides (al-Banayiq) are embroidered with a stitch pattern of feather, cypress, and mountain motifs on each side.Made/Created
