ثوب من منطقة بيت دجن قضاء يافا، من قماش القطن والكتان البيج، مُطرّز بخيوط حرير يغلب عليها اللون الأحمر بقطبة الصليب الفلاحية. قبة الثوب مُطرّزة بأشكال هندسية ونباتية، أما الأكتاف فطُرّزت بعرق الريش، بينما يظهر تطريز من عرق الورد على الردهة الخلفية. وطُرّزت الأكمام بعرق عريض مُطرّز بأشكال هندسية ونباتية، أما إسورة الكم فطُرّزت بأشكال هندسية مختلفة. يظهر على البدن الأمامي والخلفي للثوب تطريز كثيف من عرقين متوازيين مُطرّزين بأشكال نباتية محاطة بعرق الريش ويعلوها عرق السرو، كما يظهر على أسفل البدن الخلفي تطريز من عرق الجبال والسرو، أما البنايق فطُرّزت بعروق عريضة مُطرّزة بأشكال نباتية وهندسية يعلوها عرق الجبال والسرو.
A thobe (dress) from the area of Beit Dajan, Yaffa. It is made of beige linen and cotton and embroidered with primarily red silk threads with a Fallahi (peasant) cross stitch. The chest panel of the thobe is embroidered with plant and geometric shapes. As for the shoulders and the back of the chest panel (the upper back neckline), the former is embroidered with feather motifs and the latter is embroidered with rose motifs. The sleeves are embroidered with a thick stitch pattern of plant and geometric shapes, whereas the cuffs are embroidered with various geometric shapes. The front and back panels of the thobe are heavily embroidered with two parallel stitch patterns of plant shapes framed by feather motifs and topped with cypress motifs. Moreover, the bottom of the back panel has a tatreez (embroidery) of mountain and cypress motifs. The sides (al-Banayiq) are embroidered with thick stitch patterns of plant and geometric shapes topped with mountain and cypress motifs.Made/Created
