ثوب من منطقة بيت جالا قضاء بيت لحم، من قماش الحرير المخلوط بالكتان (الحبر) باللون الأسود، مُطرز بخيوط حرير يغلب عليها اللون الأحمر. قبة الثوب، وتسمى قبة عمبر، مطرزة بقطبة الصليب الفلاحية بأشكال هندسية ونباتية، أما الأكتاف والردهة الخلفية فلا تحمل أي تطريز. صنع جزء من الأكمام المردنة من قماش الحرير الهرمزي باللون الخمري والعنابي، وطُرز بالمناجل. لا يظهر أي تطريز على بدن الثوب الأمامي والخلفي، أما البنايق فطرزت بالمناجل، وذيل الثوب مطرز أيضاً.
A thobe (dress) from Beit Jala, Bethlehem. It is made of black silk fabric blended with linen (habar) and embroidered with primarily red silk threads. The chest panel, known as Amber (Anbar), is embroidered with a Fallahi (peasant) cross stitch in plant and geometric shapes. The shoulders and the back panel of the thobe (the upper back neckline) bear no tatreez (embroidery). As for the sleeves, they are mradan (long triangular sleeves) and embroidered with manajil (sickles) motifs. Part of the sleeves is made of burgundy and maroon silk (heremzi). The front and back panel of the thobe have no tatreez. The sides (al-Banayiq) are embroidered with manajil, and the tail of the thobe is also embroidered.Made/Created
