Dye Yours of the 25th has come safe to hand and its content duty noticed and for your promptress on answering you receive my warmest thanks. And I must here say to you the occasion of my not writing to you before this time was on account of seeing to the articles mentioned by you asking as to the heirs of Harriet Dye. I found by the returns of the distributions on the Estate as petitioned into court the articles that you named was [?]. I then proceeded to them and a portion of them can be found and a few cannot. The whole amount of these articles set to your heirs was of the value as appraised Five dollar and thirty five cents is on the net amounting to one dollar each heir and Simon Dye had sold five shares of them to George E S and S [?] will not doe anything about the distributions without getting all in order and [?] Those few articles which will cost more than they are all worth and you will see according to the appraisal there would be only about ninety cents for each heir so it will not pay the expense. The old [?] I have seen appraised at 60 [?] you would not [?] for it therefor I concluded not look any further about the articles. This inquiry is for my Bill and I have give it saying that I consider it my duty which I owe to orphan Children and absent friends to attend to their wills and not over charge them for so doing. and if you are of opinion that my services have been worth Four Dollars you may remit by mail and much oblige yourself and Miss Elsa. In conclusion I must say that I have been much [?] to learn that there was one of the of the heirs of Hezechiah Dye that would would take the trouble to look after Heirs rights notwithstanding they were small and I will further say to you that I have intended to doe all the lay in my power to see that you had them. Mr S [?] has made much more trouble in the business transactiors than I wish he might but as we are through with him I feel much relieved and I presume that you have the same feeling on the same subject It did seem to me that you might to have had a little more from your shares but it could not be obtained. I now am authorised to sell the share that was set to your Uncle [?] for one hundred and fifty dollars and I cannot get near as much offered so I think that it is well that yours is sold even at the price it went . And if you feel as though my Bill of Four Dollars is to much or more that I ought to have charged you you need not send me anything To Hezechiah + Elsa J Dye Windsor From your Friend Ashtabula County With Much Respect Ohio S[?] [?] Yours [?] [?]
