Letter to B. J. Taylor from H. Pearson.

July 15, 1899
My dear Bro Taylor
I am in receipt of yours of the
12th just. It is quite refreshing to hear
you are doing so well in Bible work-
Sorry the 'clipping' escaped you before it
was imprisoned in the envelope.
1. In reference to the collections: I took
a collection of $13.10 cash and a subscription
of $9.15 unpaid at the Presbyterian Church in
Warren. I also took a collection in the
Disciples Church, Cash $8.91, unpaid subs
$3 40, with the promise in each case that
probably the subscription would be forwarded to me.
You society had no relation to these collections
seeing they were taken by me. If the N.Y. Office
should see fit to order these collections paid to your

Society that would be within their province
but it is not within mine. If the bretheren
will enclose with the money the receipts I gave
them for the cash I received
when there, I will
return their receipts for the entire amount
in each case, so that it may be more con-
vinient (convenient) for them in making reports to the
treasurers of their Presbetery Convention.
2. As to the canvas. I am very
much pleased that you are about to make
it, but I have no one to recommend.
The distance is so great from here to Warren
that transportation would be very costly. It
also is best to secure a person well known
locally.
My recollections of my visits
are very pleasant and I hope to see you
all again, if not in deed quite often.
Keep up the meetings Drop me a line as
so progresses.
Ever cordially yours
