Letter from "Ma" Carrie Trask, to "My Dear Loving Husband", Ortie Trask,
"Monday morn April 1st
My Dear loving Husband
Just mailed you a letter this
morn, a fair morn after-recal
your good effectionae letter, I
thought if I would write direct
to you mabe you would
write to me, I was so
pleased and thrilled to get it
made my bowels move
real quick, you can write
real good never say
you can not. I know
you must be lonely
and I surely am to with-
out you, I wake up in
nite, and think of you
would start night - home now
if Flora did not want to come
so bad, will be a great
change for her, althou I worry
bout her coming alone
will let her stay 1 wk then
will go home to you.
I am always true to you
and always will be, the
only way I enjoy myself
most here is to be
on beach in sun and
be in the ocean. You
know I always like to watch
the ocean, and Mable Nell or
Dona or Hurds are with me
and Charles & Frank Nell's boy.
After Nells are gone will go up
and visit Daisy she is so
busy all the time.
You will feel better if you don't
imagine wrong things. I know
you love me and are true to
me, and I love you will all
my heart and am true to
you, I want you to feel happy
my heart is touched with your
grief. I thought you would
come with Bart, I pray for the
lord to guide me safely home
to you. I had bad spell with
my head, thought I was dieing
but come to again. So be thankful
that I am still here on earth
we will soon be happy together
"I'd rather have the kindest words"
which may now be said to me
than have the choicest flowers
When life has ceased to be
God be with you till we meet
keep cheerful Artie you know I love
you will kiss you all over when
I get home, please write to me
some more heaps of love Ma"Location
