Transcription: Dear friends, I received your card of Aug. 22nd and was glad of a line from an old friend Truly "old friends are first" hope this finds you each well as possible. I am not well as last year at this tie. Hay fever has been troublesome and as the years go by.. we are not as strong to resist but am thankful as well with me as it is. I intend to go to Franklin, first of next week and hope to see you later. Hard thing to beat here but light and joy and happiness in the beyond. Much love, Sincerely Rette ESubject Place
