Description

Black and white image of a dirt road with small buildings along it among clearings, with some rocks and tree stumps scattered amount the landscape. Some people stand outside the buildings. A wagon drives along the road. In the background are mountains. In pen, "View near Mt Pleasant House White Mountains N.H. 1884." Several buildings have been identified as: Red Store, Log House, Holmes Tavern, and the stable. This settlement was known as "Stove Pipe City." Back Description: Written in pencil, "J. H. McAnarney"
