General Notes

Note

Notes: 1901: Guy Shorey creates tin cups that say "The Shorey Studio, Gorham NH" imprinted on the bottom of them. Then leaves them on trees near brooks for people to drink out of them as they hike and gets advertising from it for his studio. 1905: Sierra Club creates the Bass Sierra Cup after WIlliam Colby (Club's third President) sees some AMC hikers with them on Mount Rainier Hike. 1922: AMC Club comes out with a "Guy Shorey style" tin cup. It costs 15 cents each and 25 cents for two.
